A preposterous twist of fate unfolds as bitter enemies find themselves bound by a marriage arranged by the Emperor. An official who is a staunch defender of righteousness and gets jealous easily, Yan Xuanyue, crosses paths with the mischievous "daughter of the cunning grand chancellor", Yu Chen. Their daily bickering gives rise to a "sweet" married life, yet as their feelings for each other grow, the conspiracy behind this absurd marriage also begins to surface...
